Samsung’s Profit Trends
Just during the third quarter of 2018, Samsung has surpassed its record for the highest profit in a single quarter. The company’s profits increased to 20% ($15.5 billion) from its yearly predictions. The profits are from their operating profits of $57.5 billion in the same year.
However, Samsung Electronics’ profit trends quickly changed during the last quarter of 2018. The decrease in their profits continued until the first quarter of 2019. This is brought by the disappointing sales of the Samsung Galaxy S9 from the year 2018. Apple’s release of iPhone X has also affected Samsung’s sales.
Samsung has still not bounced back during the second quarter of 2019. The company’s profits were cut in half. Their second-quarter earnings are not great. Their operating profit decreased to 56%. This is the lowest that the company’s profits fell since their Galaxy Note 7 fail in 2016.
The large Korean technology company is starting to bounce back during the last quarter of 2019. Samsung electronics are having a hard time on the market especially with the release of the newest iPhone 11 lineup. The company is also affected by the banning of Huawei devices in the US. This is because Samsung is a major hardware supplier to Huawei. But the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus are a big help to the company’s profit recovery.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs iPhone 11
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is beating the iPhone 11 with its refreshed design and powerful hardware. Although both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus and iPho0ne 11 starts at $1099 before the taxes, the Note10 plus is deemed to offer more value to money than the iPhone.
The Note 10 Plus has a bigger 6.8-inch display than the 6.5-inch display of the iPhone 11. Samsung’s glossy back panel that comes in the unique Aura Glow version (a prismatic finish that reflects light and produces a rainbow-like effect) beats Apple’s frosted matte finish in the usual six colors.
Although both phones have almost the same camera features with powerful front cameras and triple back cameras, Samsung beats Apple with its hardware. The Galaxy Note 10 comes with Snapdragon 855 chip that runs on 12GB of RAM. Its storage is so much bigger than iPhone’s with 256GB and a memory card slot that can expand up to 1TB. Apple runs on the newest A13 Bionic chip, 4GB RAM, and a non-expandable 64GB of storage.
Like all the other Galaxy Note phones, the Note 10 and Note 10 plus come with the infamous S-pen. The S-pen is now more pressure-sensitive, Bluetooth-enabled and has wand-like gestures for taking photos, and can transform hand-written notes on the phone to text and Word documents.
