Amazon Cuts iPad 9.7 Price Ahead iPad 2019 Release

News

Prices of iPads’ 2018 model drop in Amazon as Apple releases the iPad 2019. Amazon cuts up to $80 off on Apple iPads’ previous model that brings the King of Tablets to its lowest price ever.

Officially “iPad 6th Generation”, iPad 9.7 was launched in March 2018 upgraded with the Apple A10 Fusion SoC and support for styluses such as Apple Pencil. Its original price usually starts at around $459, but now the 2018 Apple iPad is down to $379 or even lower in Amazon.

For a limited time, we’ve also seen the iPad 9.7 (Wi-Fi, 32GB) price dropped in other vendors. E-retailer MassGenie had it at only $234.99 while Walmart has frequently run sales for $249.

Everyone is excited about the release of the 7th Generation. But, this instance poses an opportunity for others to acquire an almost similar device but at a more affordable price.

Apple iPad 2018 Features

Apple iPad is considered the best line of tablets as it offers a wide range of features and better performance. And iPad 2018 is no exception to that.

iPad 9.07 is an all-around tablet marketed towards educators and schools. Apple’s A10 chipset, embedded with M10 coprocessor, gives iPad 9.07 enough power to handle difficult tasks users do on tablets. It has faster CPU graphics performance, allowing users to open multiple tabs and skip in and out of apps.

The support for Apple Pencil also adds another dimension to the tablet, giving users the ability to be even more creative and productive. The Apple Pencil allows iPad users to perform tasks from sketching ideas and jotting down handwritten notes to marking up screenshots.

Apple iPad 2018 also delivers detailed and vivid colors and relatively higher resolution with its 9.7-inch Retina display. Its large viewfinder is essential for immersive AR experiences.

Amazon Also Cuts iPad 2019 Price

Here’s another crazy thing, Amazon has also made a slight cut on the all-new iPad 2019 price. For a limited time, the retail giant offered a maximum of 30% discount on iPad 0.2-inch + Wi-Fi.

The Apple iPad 2019 includes only little updates from its 2018 version. It features a larger screen with a 10.2-inch Retina display that now supports a full-size smart keyboard. The new tablet also runs on iPadOS, Apple Pencil and has a redesigned Home screen.

The iPad still has a powerful A10 Fusion chip and includes an impressive 1.2MP front-facing camera. The new iPad provides an all-day battery life of 10 hours and offers Touch-ID for secure entry.

Why the Sudden Price Drop?

The answer to this question is pretty simple. A new iPad model with more advanced features is already out in the market. Naturally, more people would talk more about this development thus will generate more interest. Interest that could also mean actual sales.

If the new Apple iPad model is drawing more public interest, people’s interest in its predecessor will, in return, slowdown. Lesser public interest means lower sales.

Offering discounts is a way to drawback customer attention and normalize sales. It is a prevalent tactic to attract consumers by providing extra value or incentive. For retailers, it is an opportunity to push for an inventory on a product that is not moving. A move that seemingly effective in the case of Amazon.

Although the company won’t reveal, Amazon has recorded an increase in the sales of iPad 9.07 since they started offering a discount for the device.

So, if you are eyeing for a new iPad, then you might want to jump on this rare deal before things return to normal. After all, Apple iPad 9.7 is still a better choice if you are looking for an entry-level tablet.
