Archero Tier List

While we did say that this article will be all about Archero game statistics, we are sure that there are those of you not inclined to read literal walls of text and numbers. Don’t worry because aside from cutting back on most of these cumbersome tables, we will give you a nice TLDR (too long, didn’t read) at the end. We will also add some strategies on how to make your build. Even though we called this article an Archero tier list, due to the game’s random number generated (RNG) options, especially for talents and abilities, you’ll have to make do with understanding all of them and taking the best one for your build instead.

In terms of ranking, we will use a five-tier system (SS > S > A > B > C) with SS as the most powerful and C as the weakest. Do keep in mind that Archero’s game mechanics and exact statistics change with every patch and version of the game. While most changes implemented into the game do stay static, there is always a chance that abilities, heroes, or talents may be nerfed or significantly buffed in a newer version.

Archero Heroes Tier List

As of Archero version 3.2.2, the game has 19 different heroes that you could play and use, a lot of which are newly implemented ones. Originally introduced in the 1.2.4 update, these heroes are split into two types, free-to-play and pay-to-play heroes. Before the update, players were confined to only using Atreus, the so-called default or starter hero.

While we won’t include it here and instead give you the TLDR, each hero can have their level upgraded through the use of sapphires and coins to level up your hero using the “hero growth” system unlocked after chapter 3. Every hero has a different set amount added to their attack power (AP) and health points (HP) each time they level up. Aside from this, at levels 20, 40, 60, and 80, some characters give special bonuses that affect all other heroes. Examples of this include Atreus’ +100 HP at level 20 and Helix’s +5% Max HP at level 60.

If you look at just the starting statistics of Archero’s free-to-play heros, the best you can use would be the base hero, Atreus. That is a bit misleading though since Ayana’s versatility is quite useful once you’ve mastered them. Due to the chance of opening a portal, you can use Ayana’s abilities to quickly move around the map and escape being cornered and defeated. Aside from that, Ayana also has the largest amount of points added to her health and attack stats at each level-up when compared to the other free-to-play heroes. This is due to her gaining with 42 and 11 points added respectively in health and attack.

If you’re a beginner and still getting used to the game, we suggest continuing to play using Atreus for a week or two until you can get enough gems to unlock Ayana or some of the other pay-to-play heroes.

As you probably expect in this Archero tier list, the top two heroes in Archero are Shingen and Aquea due to their almost $30 price tag. Both of them have good base stats and wonderful hero growth rates, with Shingen getting +45 HP and + 14 AP per level, while Aquea gets +50 HP and +14 AP instead.

Due to their hero powers, however, Shingen has a distinct advantage. That advantage is due to Shingen’s already high critical hit multiplier combined with his powers’ increased attack speed. Overall, the $29 to get Shingen is worth it, even more so if you upgrade his level and reach the current, as of October 2021, cap of level 80.

Overall, it is good to experiment and take what abilities you think would best fit your heroes and other abilities as they slowly stack over one another.

Best Archero Talents Tier List

In-Game Photo.

This part of the Archero tier list is less “picking” as it is praying. Due to the RNG factor in Archero, talent acquisition and upgrading are completely random. Each time you pay the slowly increasing gold cost to upgrade and get a new talent, you’ll just have to hope you get the one you want. Either way, though, all talents will be beneficial to you and your hero.

There are only 12 different talents you can get in Archero, these are:

Talent Tier Effect
Strength SS Increases max HP.
Power SS Increases AP.
Recover S Increases the amount recovered from red hearts.
Block S Reduces damage received while stationary.
Iron Bulwark B Reduces collision damage from touching enemies.
