Area of Attack Enters Closed Beta; Calls for Testers

Mobile Games

Area of Attack (AoA), a new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on blockchain is looking for participants to join their beta test, which will commence on March 21 and end on March 30 at 3:00 am UTC. Joiners can pick up a free mystery box that contains a non-fungible token (NFT), according to the invite post. They may also win real cryptocurrency.

Area of Attack is a game under development that is investing in the GameFi, or play-to-earn (P2E), mechanics to attract more players and participants. The idea is that players will earn some type of token, mostly cryptocurrency while playing the game. As for AoA, they will be using the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Although we’ve already seen many games that let you earn Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, there aren’t many MMORPGs for mobile that successfully made use of decentralized finance. Area of Attack is hoping to be the first.

AoA will follow the same mechanics present in many magic-themed MMOs. The story began after a meteorite collided with an ancient mainland. This event has brought huge strengths to monsters, but you got powers too and it is now your duty to defeat them and restore peace on every continent.

Once the game is live, it will require players to buy a mystery box that contains NFT equipment whose value is based on rarity. Without this, your heroes’ battle power will be weak according to Area of Attack’s website. You can then enter PvE for a chance to get more tokens. You can also accomplish daily tasks to increase your battle points and get more NFT equipment.

Ultimately, players can trade NFT equipment on the market for cryptocurrency.

How to Join Area of Attack’s Beta Test

Area of Attack will only accept 100 participants for the beta test, but they said they may also increase it if the number of applications is reasonably high. Those interested should accomplish a Google application form and provide their Polygon wallet address. The application period will end on March 20 at 11:00 am UTC. However, the selection process will be random, so it doesn’t matter if you apply today or last minute.

Participants will receive NFT equipment to start their adventure, but it will remain on the test chain and will have no real value. But, players who will be able to reach level 40 and up during the test will win $30 worth of NFT.

Area of Attack has a Discord playtest area for the official beta participants where they can report problems and bugs they encounter. There will also be additional rewards for reporting major bugs, the developers said.
