There’s a new social space on Fortnite where players can hang out called Party Worlds, Epic Games revealed just before the current season wraps up. According to the developer, the new experience will focus on socializing rather than combat, although it will include mini-games.

In a blog post, Epic Games announced that Party Worlds will allow players to “hang out, play fun mini-games, and make new friends.” It kicked off with two Party Worlds that community members and Epic Games collaboratively made. The first one is Walnut World, an amusement park according to Epic. The second Fortnite Party World is Late Night Lounge, a space for party-goers who like after-hours adventures. Players can visit the two worlds using Island code: 9705-9549-4193 and Island code: 8868-0043-1912, respectively.

Players Can Also Create Party Worlds
Epic Games is also encouraging its communities, including players, to submit their creations for more Party Worlds. Players can send their social space proposals using the Fortnite Discover Submission form with the “Party World” tag. Epic Games stressed out that all submissions must be original work and adhere to the Party World guidelines.
- Party Worlds should not be threatening; they shouldn’t center on combat or damage.
- Party Worlds should have a high focus on self-expression through emotes, sprays, outfit changes, or other mechanics.
- Party Worlds should encourage social interaction, giving people a way to make new friends or team up with existing friends in new ways.
Fortnite Party Worlds vs Hubs
Fortnite Party Worlds is not the only social experience inside the shooter-survival game. Hubs came first, sharing a similar purpose of discovering new places. But, Epic Games clearly differentiates the two features. According to them, the purpose of Fortnite Hubs is to serve as a discovery tool for creative experiences. On the other hand, Fortnite Party Worlds will facilitate social interactions between players. Unlike Hubs, Party Worlds will not link to other islands.
Fortnite Updates Before Chapter III Arrives
The Party Worlds experience is only one of the several contents that were added to Fortnite leading to chapter III. Last week, Nick Fury sneaked onto the island as a new Fortnite character to combat the supernatural cube threat. Alongside Party Worlds, Fortnite also launches Jumpman Zone to celebrate Jordan Brand’s most iconic sneakers, the Air Jordan XI “Cool Grey”.
The third chapter of Fortnite will arrive on December 4 at 4 PM ET. Epic Games have also launched a finale event that will bridge the gap between chapter 2 and chapter 3. Players can team with up to 16 players for the jump-in and ‘The End’ playlist. Those who have yet to complete the remaining quests still have a few days before the current season wraps up.
