Square Enix announced they eye March 3, 2022 as the new release date for Hitman Sniper: The Shadows. The Shadows is the sequel to the Hitman Sniper and would bring back the elements fans and players alike came to love.
In a post on its website, Square Enix says, “Creating the best possible sniper experience has always been paramount to us.” It’s also an indication of why the initial release date has been moved from 2021 to 2022. The developer has also thanked fans for their continuous support and for waiting for the release patiently.
Hitman Sniper: The Shadows will be available for Android and iOS devices.

Hitman Sniper: The Shadows Gameplay
Unlike the first franchise, The Shadows won’t be revolving around Agent 47. Instead, it would take place after Agent 47’s disappearance and will follow a group of assassins.
In this series, a new global threat has emerged powered by a criminal network. As a solution, the Hitman series’ anti-villainous deuteragonist Diana Burnwood activates Operation The Shadows. The Shadows is a group of highly skilled assassins composed of Soji, Kiya, Kolzak, Knight, Espelho, and Stone. Their mission? Put an end to this new global threat.
In addition as a member of Operation The Shadow, your main task includes taking down high-level international targets, building your reputation, and evolving into your own version of a Hitman Sniper.

Square Enix has also opened pre-registration for the game, sending fans in so much hype. The pre-registration offer will earn anyone the chance to score exclusive rewards on launch day. The developer says fans must hurry, though, given slots are only limited.

Square Enix has released the beta version of the game back on November 11, 2021 for the Brazillian App Store. It subsequently released the beta version on 01 December 2021 for the Canadian App Store. Soon after, however, the developer pulled the games out following reports of bugs that cause the app to crash. A delay statement has been issued later on.
Finally, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is set for final release on March 03, 2022. It has been a long time coming but fans will surely be familiar with the Hitman game elements including distractions, iconic assassinations, poisoning, and more.
Following the delay, it seems Square Enix is now confident that it already addressed the bugs reported during the beta release of The Shadows. Whether it lives up to expectations and whether the developer would stay true to its promise in delivering “the best sniper experience” to fans have yet to be seen.
