Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox is a Mage/Assassin in League of Legends: Wild Rift. She is a vastaya who can reshape magic. Ahri journeys to find her place in the world though he has become an empathetic predator in the process. She is known for manipulating her prey before taking their life essence. Beyond her predatory nature, Ahri still feels a bit of empathy when she sees the memories of the souls that she consumes.

Ahri is one of the most popular champions to use in the Mid Lane for her magic damage-dealing abilities. She is a champion who has moderate difficulty, but her skill set is easy to grasp. She has a variety of combos that you can master, some of which might require a bit of experience. However, once you get the hang of it, Ahri will become easier to use in the long run.

Skills Effects
Orb of Deception Ahri launches an orb that deals both magic damage and true damage. This skill is Ahri’s main source of damage.
Fox-Fire Ahri releases three orbs around her that deal magic damage. These orbs will automatically seek enemies and hit them multiple times. It’s best to use this skill with Charm as enemies affected by this skill will be attacked first. This skill also gives additional movement speed.
Charm Charm deals magic damage and charms the enemy when they get hit. This will cause them to walk towards Ahri, allowing her to use her other abilities to deal damage. Charm is one of the best crowd control abilities in the game and allows the player and her team to land hits on the enemy.

When you activate Charm, make sure to use Fox-Fire and Orb of Deception immediately so that you can deal more damage.

Spirit Rush (Ultimate) Spirit Rush allows Ahri to dash into any direction and deal magic damage to enemies that are nearby. You can use this ability up to three times before it goes on a cooldown.

Learning how to use Spirit Rush is key because this is essential to Ahri’s playstyle. You can use this ability for offensive and defensive measures.

Essence Theft (Passive) Once her spell hits a target, Ahri will gain a stack of Essence Theft. Once the ability stacks to three, Ahri gets healed when her next spell hits an enemy.

In terms of leveling up, you should prioritize Orb of Deception first until you reach its max level. Once that’s done, you can focus on Fox-Fire next. Ahri’s third skill, Charm, is the last skill that you should level up. However, don’t forget to upgrade her Ultimate, Spirit Rush, whenever you can or when an update becomes available.

In terms of combos, there are a few ways in which you can play Ahri. Her kit allows for her to be used in many ways but here are three of the best combos that you can use to destroy your opponents:

Fox-Fire > Charm > Orb of Deception > Spirit Rush

This is a more basic combo for Ahri. Before you go into your lane, activate Fox-Fire. After that, get into your lane and activate Charm the second that your opponent comes into view. Once done, you can easily obliterate your enemy with Fox-Fire and Orb of Deception. If necessary, you can also use Spirit Rush to help you run after the enemy if you weren’t able to defeat them the first time. For this combo, it’s ideal that you keep one or two dashes from Spirit Rush on standby just in case you need to perform a quick escape.

Spirit Rush > Fox-Fire > Charm > Orb of Deception

This combo focuses more on inflicting damage. Ideally, you can use this in the latter part of the game when you have a few dashes from Spirit Rush on standby.

With this combo, you can rush into the field with Spirit Rush and then immediately activate Fox-Fire. Once that’s done, you can activate Charm and take them down with Orb of Deception. If you have more dashes left from Spirit Rush, you can use that to take down more enemies or retreat to safety if necessary.

Best Item Build for Ahri

When picking items to use for Ahri, take note that it’s important to focus on burst damage and cooldown reduction. Ahri heavily relies on using her Ultimate to deal heavy damage. It’s also important to consider the lane that you’re putting her on. In this case, this Ahri build will focus on the Mid Lane as this is the recommended lane for Ahri to be on.

Luden’s Echo – Ionian Boots of Lucidity – Awakened Soulstealer – Infinity Orb – Rabadon’s Deathcap – Void Staff

This build focuses more on cooldown reduction and burst damage increase. With an Ahri build that focuses on damage, cooldown reduction is essential as the bulk of the damage that she deals is through her Ultimate. This build is great as it allows Ahri to spam her Ultimate.

Luden’s Echo gives additional AoE burst damage. The Ionian Boots of Lucidity grants additional ability haste that you can either upgrade to help counter other burst damage champions or to counter the opponent’s crowd control measures. Meanwhile, Awakened Soulstealer is an essential cooldown item for mages because it reduces the cooldown time of the Ultimate with each unique takedown.

Furthermore, Infinity Orb grants movement speed, magic penetration, and bonus damage which is ideal for when you’re moving around the field. Rabadon’s Deathcap gives a high amount of AP that will ultimately make your damage more powerful. Lastly, Void Staff grants a huge amount of magic penetration that will help when enemies use magic resist items against you.

Archangel’s Staff – Gluttonous Greaves – Liandry’s Torment – Rabadon’s Deathcap – Morellonomicon – Void Staff – Protobelt Enchant – Ward

This build is great if you’re dealing with champions who have a lot of health points and armor. Archangel’s Staff grants bonus ability power, while Gluttonous Greaves increase movement speed. This is essential for Ahri as she needs to move fast on the battlefield.

Liandry’s Torment increases damage by 2% for every 4 seconds that they are in battle. Rabadon’s Deathcap increases ability power by 40%. Morellonomicon increases magic penetration that is further enhanced with Void Staff, and Protobelt Enchant deals magic damage. Lastly, Ward grants vision of its surroundings for 90 seconds.

Luden’s Echo – Ionian Boots of Lucidity – Lich Bane – Infinity Orb – Rabadon’s Deathcap – Void Staff

This Ahri build for items is similar to the damage build and deals with similar effects. However, this build puts more focus on sheer damage than cooldown. It might not allow players to spam her Ultimate, rather, it maximizes the damage made by the burst.

This build replaces Awakened Soulstealer with Lich Bane. This grants bonus magic damage that enhances your succeeding attacks. This will work well with Ahri’s hit-and-run combos. The Ahri Pro Build is ideal for more seasoned players who already have a grasp of their skill set.

Secondary Weakness, Second Wind, Sweet Tooth

Ahri needs to be fast at all times. As such, Phase Rush is a great Keystone rune for her build because it grants bonus movement speed. Second Wind helps her to restore health so that she can last longer and sustain herself throughout the game. Sweet Tooth regenerates HP and gives a bit of gold when Honeyfruits are eaten. This Ahri build is great for support because it helps her get around the field more to help immobilize enemies while her teammates deal the attacks.

Best Summoner Spells for Ahri

Summoner Spells in Wild Rift grants champions special abilities that will aid them in battle. Such abilities include additional health points, defense, and speed, among others. It’s advised to choose your Summoner Spells wisely as you can only equip two spells per champion.

Here are some of the Summoner spells that you might want to consider when building Ahri.

Flash and Ignite

Flash and Ignite is a staple Summoner Spells combination for Ahri because she relies on speed and movement. Ignite focuses on her damage-dealing abilities as it deals true damage to them and inflicts them with Grievous Wounds. On the other hand, Flash allows her to teleport forward or towards a certain direction.

Flash and Heal

Flash compliments Ahri’s skill set because she needs to be mobile at all times during the game. When paired with Heal as a Summoner Spell, she becomes 30% faster and restores some of her health. This might not be ideal if you’re looking to deal massive amounts of damage but it will surely help you get around the field more.

Heal and Ignite

Lastly, you can try to use Heal and Ignite. Heal will help you to move around faster and Ignite enhances the damage. You can opt to use these Summoner spells if you have enough items or runes that will help you to increase movement. This is a great build to try if you want to try and experiment with different builds and the like.

Creating a Formidable Ahri Build

Ahri is easily one of the strongest champions in Wild Rift. She not only has the best crowd control skill in the game but she also deals great amounts of burst damage. When looking for an Ahri build, you might want to focus on one that maximizes damage output and mobility. That way, Ahri will last longer on the field and deal more damage.

You might want to explore different builds to see which ones will work for your playstyle. Don’t just stick to one build alone. Instead, try to explore different builds to find the ideal one for you. Creating an Ahri build can be a bit of a trial-and-error especially if you’re a new player but once you find the ideal build for you, you will become an unstoppable force in Wild Rift.
