PUBG New State Round Deathmatch

PUBG Mobile is a futuristic-style multiplayer online battle royale video game developed by PUBG Studios. Over the course of its popularity, fans have been playing a number of PUBG versions, including New State.

The February update will effectively introduce a new game mode — the Round Deathmatch. This new game mode will set New State apart from the rest of the PUBG Mobile versions out there.

The Round Deathmatch is a new 4v4 deathmatch mode where two teams fight to win 4 out of 7 rounds. In its patch notes, New State hints that the first match will take place on the Arena map. Round Deathmatch will have the same default weapon presets as Team Deathmatch as the press release indicated.

It seems this new game mode will bring its own PUBG flair, which the developers hope to add an exciting new crunch for players to take advantage of. It also goes without saying that players would be able to train their gunplay, movement, and positioning on the locations of the Playzone in the Round Deathmatch game mode.

Aside from the anticipated release of the Round Deathmatch game mode, PUBG has also been working on making a few changes in terms of interface, design, and other elements of the game. One stark difference players can expect is the change in the Team Deathmatch map “Station”. PUBG says it made the map wider “to create more diverse engagement situations.” Moreover, there is now a saving grace touch for players who die four times in a row without acquiring any skills. PUBG says these players “will be provided with a Lv. 3 helmet and Lv. 3 body armor at their next respawn.”

Another change PUBG is employing is the Team Deathmatch interface. Players will find the design of the top-screen UI that displays match information has been redesigned, as well as the pop-up message notifying players of their killstreaks.

PUBG New State players will also get to enjoy a new set of ammunition once the February update is rolled out. The update indicates the following as the new weapons players can use:

  • MP5K
  • Crossbow
  • New reload feature for the DSR-1
  • M249 [C2] Ballistic Shield
  • MP5K [C1] Laser Sight
