Brawlhalla players are in for a treat this season as the game collides with Street Fighter in what they tout as the biggest crossover event so far. The latest collaboration will bring Street Fighter veterans Ryu and Chun-Li, as well as Akuma, in the Super Smash Bros-inspired free-to-play platform-fighter. The special event will also usher in new a mode and map to explore.
Equipped with their classic moves, the three Street Fighter legends will substitute Petra, Wu Shang, and Val, respectively. This means players will be able to use Ryu’s Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku; Chun-Li’s Spinning Bird Kick and Kikosho; and Akuma’s Tatsumaki Zankukyaku and Zanku Hadoken. They will also carry with them custom KO effects with VO lines never seen before.

Aside from epic Street Fighter characters, the crossover will also bring elements taken after the Japanese competitive fighting video game to let players experience Brawlhalla in Street Fighter lens. During the special event, Street Brawl will be available as a special mode that will pit two players in an eight-minute match. It employs a best-of-three structure, so players need to raise for the first three KOs. The brawls can happen in a new map inspired by Ryu’s home stage, Suzaku Castle.
The crossover is also teeming with Street Fighter special effects to clinch such as emotes, victory poses, and a podium. All of which will remain available for purchase even after the event. Here are the full details of the Brawlhalla 6.01 patch.
A Look in the Past Brawlhalla Crossovers
In over a year that Brawlhalla has been out for mobile devices, we can say that it already had numerous memorable crossovers. The Street Fighter-Brawlhalla collab follows the second Walking Dead crossover in September; the first time was in October 2020. Franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Kung Fu Panda have also equally made exciting appearances in the 2D game.
Brawlhalla supports crossplay across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC, Mac, and mobile devices.
