Apple announces Mighty Bear Games’ Disney Melee Mania is joining the list of amazing games that are exclusive on Apple Arcade. It will arrive this Friday, December 17. The teaser suggests that players will battle it out using classic and new Disney and Pixar characters on the never-before-seen 3v3 virtual arena. The goal? Become the ultimate Disney champions.
“We’re thrilled to work with Disney to bring these beloved characters to the first-ever Disney and Pixar battle arena game, available exclusively on Apple Arcade,” Mighty Bear Games CEO Simon Davis said.

‘Melee Mania’ Game Mechanics
Disney Melee Mania is a 3v3 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game where players have to battle their way out using known Disney and Pixar characters. Each game session may last for 5 minutes in an innovative virtual arena. Essentially, players need to defeat their enemies as many times as possible. Players can also move to earn points during the game in order to beat the enemy. They can also opt to customize their characters with special skins.
Each character will appear at a battle-ready position; they are equipped with their own set of iconic moves and unlockable cosmetics.
“Players will find endless gaming options on Apple Arcade to keep them entertained on all their favorite devices this holiday season,” Apple Arcade senior director Alex Rofman.
The game has different game modes which will surely get your brain working overtime. Players will also experience a variety of game events and earn one-time rewards. Additionally, players will have to discover how to use tactics and combine abilities to defeat a common enemy.

Disney Melee Mania Characters
Gracing the whole gameplay are characters we have all come to know growing up watching Disney feature films — old and new. Mighty Bear Games says it’s launching 12 characters when the game drops. So far, however, the only confirmed characters that we will see battling their way on the virtual arena are the following:
- Wreck-It Ralph
- Elsa
- Mickey Mouse
- Frozone, Moana
- Buzz Lightyear
The developers say more characters are coming to the fold as more updates come in the future. Nonetheless, we can expect these confirmed characters to have their own capabilities that players can fully exploit to win a battle.
Other Disney Games on Apple Arcade
Game commentators are labeling Disney Melee Mania as the first Disney-Pixar 3v3 battle game to ever come to Apple Arcade. It is also likened to League of Legends where players team up and go on to defeat the enemy. However, we don’t think this is the last Disney-Pixar feature game that will eventually make its way to the Apple Arcade platform. Nonetheless, the teasers of Disney Melee Mania are making fans salivate more and more. The idea of seeing our favorite Disney characters battle it out on the arena is adding hype as it drops to Apple Arcade this December.
