How to Get Venti on Genshin Impact

Venti is a competitive character that you can pair with other top-tier characters in Genshin Impact. Unfortunately, Venti is a limited character and is only obtainable during his Character Banner. Unlike other characters such Diluc, Jean, and Keqing, he is not obtainable through other banners except for his featured Character Banner.

Additionally, you can also only obtain his constellations during his Character Banner. Bear in mind that since Genshin Impact is a gacha game, it is a game of luck. You might not be able to get Venti on your first wish and might need to perform several wishes before having a chance at getting Venti.

If you want a higher chance at obtaining Venti, you can always rely on Genshin Impact’s “Pity System.” For this, all you have to do is to count the number of wishes you have made on his banner. If your counter reaches 70+, it is a guarantee that you will get a 5-star. However, that still doesn’t mean that you will get Venti as you might end up obtaining a different 5-star character.

One of the best yet risky ways to make sure that you get a Venti is to make a wish at the preceding Character Banner before his. For instance, if you manage to obtain a 5-star that isn’t the featured character, it is a guarantee that you will get Venti on his banner. However, this method is also risky. If you obtain the featured character on a banner, it will be harder to obtain him.

Nonetheless, the best way to obtain Venti is to prepare for his future Character Banners by farming for Primogems and saving Intertwined Fates. You don’t necessarily have to spend to get him if you can manage to save up wish resources for his future banners.

How to Use Venti on Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, talents are special abilities or skills that each character possesses. Each character has their combat and passive talents that they can use in and out of combat. You can enhance combat talents by collecting the necessary talent level-up materials in domains. In addition, certain Constellations can also raise the effectiveness of talent by +3. With this, you can level up talents to Level 13 and 15 (depending on the number of Constellations that you have) instead of its cap at 10.

While you can level up Combat talents, you cannot do the same with Passive talents. All passive talents are at max level, regardless if you have a high-level character or not.

Here is a quick overview of Venti’s talents:

Combat Talents

In any Venti Genshin Impact build, the talent that you should prioritize the most is the Elemental Burst followed by the Elemental Skill. The Normal attack is your last priority when it comes to leveling up talents as the bulk of Venti’s damage comes from his Skill and Burst.

Divine Marksmanship (Normal Attack)
  • Normal Attack shoots up to six consecutive shots.
  • Charged Attack shoots a more precise shot with an increase in damage. A fully charged arrow will deal Anemo damage instead of normal damage.
  • Plunging Attacks will fire arrows mid-air before striking the ground and dealing AoE damage.
Skyward Sonnet (Elemental Skill)
  • Press: Summons a Wind Current, launches opponents into the air, and deals AoE Anemo damage.
  • Hold: Summons a larger Wind Current, deals AoE Anemo damage, and launches opponents into the air.
Wind’s Grand Ode (Elemental Burst)
  • Fires an arrow and creates a Stormeye that deals Anemo damage and sucks opponents and objects towards it. Wind’s Grand Ode continuously deals Anemo damage as long as it is active on the field.
  • Elemental Absorption: If the Burst comes into contact with any element apart from Anemo, it will deal damage of that type. This can only occur once every time you activate the Burst.

Passive Talents

In terms of Passive talents, it’s important to remember that they cannot be enhanced or leveled up with materials. However, you can obtain certain Passive talents by ascending your character.

Embrace of Winds (Unlocks at 1st Ascension) The upcurrent from Skyward Sonnet lasts for 20 seconds.
Stormeye
(Unlocks at 4th Ascension)
After using Wind’s Grand Ode, this passive regenerates 15 Energy Particles for Venti. If there was an Elemental Absorption, the passive regenerates 15 Energy Particles to characters of that element.
Windrider
(Utility Passive)
Gliding stamina consumption decreases by 20% for all party members.

What Are Venti’s Constellations

Like the other characters in Genshin Impact, Venti has six (6) constellations. Venti’s constellation is the Stella Fortuna which you can obtain by getting duplicate characters in wishes.

Constellations either increase or enhance the abilities of each character. These upgrades are beneficial to the character’s growth as they will help power up their normal attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst.

Here’s a quick rundown of Venti’s constellations:

  • Splitting Gales – Deals 33% more damage per Aimed Shot; it also fires 2 additional arrows.
  • Breeze of Reminiscence – When Venti’s Elemental Skill — Skyward Sonnet — is active, the opponent’s Anemo and Physical Resistance will decrease by 12% for 10 seconds. Additionally, opponents affected by Skyward Sonnet will have an additional 12% decrease when they are airborne.
  • Ode to Thousand Winds – Increases Venti’s Elemental Burst, Wind’s Grand Ode, by three (3).
  • Hurricane of Freedom – Venti will receive a 25% Anemo Damage Bonus for 10 seconds whenever he picks up an Elemental Orb.
  • Concerto dal Ciel – Increases Skyward Sonnet by another three (3) levels.
  • Storm of Defiance – Opponents damaged by Wind’s Grand Ode will receive an Anemo Resistance decrease of 20%. If Elemental Absorption occurs, the enemy resistance to the absorbed element will also be decreased by 20%.

It’s important to remember that each character has their version of a constellation. While Venti shares the same constellation with characters such as Diluc and Klee, their Stella Fortuna can’t be used by other characters.

Best Venti Genshin Impact Build

For this Venti Genshin Impact build, we will provide you with builds that are known to be the best in the game. Weapons and artifacts are essential to every character build, so you might want to take into consideration what you currently have in terms of weapons as you can easily farm for better artifacts.

The artifacts on Genshin Impact that you may have will vary depending on how far you are into the game. Certain domains only unlock after you reach a certain Adventure Rank (AR), so you might have to look for substitutes until you unlock the domain.

In terms of weapons, we considered both Pay-to-Play and Free-to-Play options. Bear in mind that making purchases isn’t necessary as you can get great weapons through wishes or through forging. Purchasing weapons such as the Viridescent Hunt on the Battle Pass is not necessary to be able to have a good Venti Genshin Impact build.

Recommended Venti Genshin Impact Build

Weapon Artifacts
  • Skyward Harp (5*)
  • The Stringless (4*)
  • 4-piece Viridescent Venerer with focus on Elemental Mastery, Anemo Damage Bonus, and Crit Rate or Damage as the main stats.
  • Using a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer will grant a 60% spread damage increase. It also reduces the resistance of enemies affected by Swirl by 40% for 10 seconds.

This Venti Genshin Impact build is the standard and the best for the character as Venti relies on his Elemental Burst, Wind’s Grande Ode, to create the most damage. It creates a Swirl that will pick up nearby elements and create Elemental Reactions to create further damage to opponents.

It’s best to focus on Elemental Mastery as the core stat of your artifacts as it increases the strength of the Elemental Reactions that the Swirl will create. The best artifact set for Venti is the Viridescent Venerer as it grants bonus spread damage made by the Swirl and reduces their resistance to the element picked up by it.

In terms of weapons, the 5-star Skyward Harp is the best weapon for him. However, if you cannot obtain the Skyward Harp, the 4-star Stringless is a close substitute for it. The Skyward Harp increases the user’s Crit Damage by 20% and has the potential to inflict an AoE attack that can deal up to 125% Physical Attack Damage. Stringless increases Venti’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst Damage by 24%. You can obtain both weapons from Wishing for them at any of the available banners.

Venti Support Build

Weapon Artifacts
  • The Stringless (4*)
  • Viridescent Hunt (4*, Battle Pass Weapon)
  • Alley Hunter (4*)
  • 2-piece Viridescent Venerer, 2-piece Noblesse Oblige with focus on Elemental Mastery.
  • A 2-piece Viridescent Venerer grants an additional 15% Anemo damage bonus and a 2-piece Noblesse Oblige grants an additional 20% Elemental Burst Damage

While Venti is primarily a DPS and a Sub-DPS, you can still build him as a support. For this Venti Genshin Impact build, use a 2-piece Viridescent Venerer and a 2-piece Noblesse Oblige. These artifacts will grant additional Anemo Damage Bonus and Elemental Burst Damage, respectively. For this build, you want to focus solely on Elemental Mastery as the main stat of your artifacts. The bulk of your damage will come from the elements picked up by the Elemental Burst.

As for weapons, the Stringless is still one of the best to use for Venti because it provides an increase on Venti’s Elemental Skill and Burst. If you’re looking to focus on the Elemental Burst alone, the Viridescent Hunt is a great option to consider as it enhances the absorption of the Swirl. Lastly, Alley Hunter increases the damage made by the character by 2% if they are not on the field and by 4% if they are on it.

The Viridescent Hunt is a paid weapon that is obtainable when you purchase the Battle Pass. But you don’t necessarily have to purchase weapons to be able to create great builds. In this case, you can obtain Stringless and Alley Hunter by Wishing for them on any of the available banners. The Viridescent Hunt is an option to consider only if you have the means to purchase the Battle Pass. You can still make a Venti Genshin Impact build with free weapons.

Venti DPS Build

Weapon Artifacts
  • Skyward Harp (5*)
  • The Stringless (4*)
  • Favonius Warbow (4*)
  • Windblue Ode (4*, Event Exclusive)
  • 4-piece Viridescent Venerer OR 4-piece Noblesse Oblige with main stat focus on Crit Damage or Crit Rate, Attack, and Elemental Mastery.
  • A 4-piece Viridescent Venerer grants additional spread damage increase and reduces enemy resistance. A 4-piece Noblesse Oblige grants an additional +20% attack after using an Elemental Burst.

If you’re looking to make Venti into a DPS, there are a couple of weapons that you can consider using. Firstly, there’s the Skyward Harp and the Stringless which are staple weapons for Venti.

The Favonius Warbow is a 4* bow that is obtainable through Wishing. When there is a CRIT Hit, there will be a 60% chance that several Elemental Particles will grant Venti with +6 Energy. This is a great weapon to consider if you want to fire his Elemental Skill and Burst constantly.

The Windblume Ode, on the other hand, is an event exclusive weapon that not everyone might have. Still, for those who have it, it increases Venti’s attack by 16%. If you’re looking to spam attacks, this is the weapon to use especially since you can also easily recharge Venti’s Elemental Skill.

As for artifacts, you can either equip him with a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set or a 4-piece Noblesse Oblige Set. Both sets will complement Venti’s Elemental Burst. Both sets are useful especially if your focus is really on his Elemental Skill and Burst.

How to Ascend Venti

Character ascension is an essential element of building a character. In a Venti Genshin Impact build, talents and skills will unlock at certain ascension phases. Maxing out a character unlocks all the character’s talents and increases their level cap.

All characters have six ascension phases. These phases require certain materials that are obtainable through farming across the open world and defeating World Bosses.

Build Your Character

In all, building Venti in Genshin Impact is essential for the character’s growth. To have a formidable character, you will have to invest time and effort into their build. Venti is one of the best characters to have in the game because of his strong Elemental Burst. Therefore, a Venti Genshin Impact build should focus on improving his Skill and Burst because that is where his damage comes from. Ultimately, it is up to the player how they would want to build Venti but regardless, his elemental abilities are still top priority when deciding on a build. Don’t forget to continuously farm for materials and grind through Domains as these will greatly help your character achieve its maximum potential faster.
