Version 2.5 has ended, which means a new set of exciting events and banners will begin in Teyvat. Genshin Impact 2.6 “Zephyr of the Violet Garden” will be live on March 29 (11 PM EST) headlining Kamisato Ayato as the new featured character. There will also be new quests and a brand new area called the Chasm to explore in Liyue.

Similar to the past, there will be a maintenance update as the developers implement the patches. From March 29 at 6 PM until the scheduled release of the update, players will be unable to log in to their accounts and play the game. On a positive note, players will get 60 Primogems (Genshin Impact’s main in-game currency) for every hour that the servers are down. In total, there are 300 Primogems waiting for all the players even if the maintenance finishes early.

Kamisato Ayato Event Wish on Genshin Impact 2.6
The special banner for Kamisato Ayato will start immediately after the version update and will last on April 19. Dubbed the Pillar of Fortitude, Ayato is the new kid in the bloc and is a 5-star hydro character. He is the current head of the Kamisato Clan in Inazuma and serves as the Yashiro Commissioner. His arrival will reunite him with his younger sister Ayaka, a Cryo character, who debuted in July 2021.
During his banner, Ayato will receive a huge drop-rate boost. However, you still need to prepare a huge amount of Primogems to pour into Ayato because of Genshin Impact’s gacha mechanics. During a character banner, Genshin Impact has a 0.6% chance to drop a 5-star character. If you are not able to summon one within 89 pulls, a 5-star character is guaranteed on the 90th pull with 50/50 chance of summoning the featured hero. Each pull costs 160 Primogems. You need at least 14, 400 to summon Kamisato Ayato, although the game still does not guarantee it.
Alongside Ayato’s banner, 4-star characters Xiangling (Pyro), Yun Jin (Geo), and Sucrose (Anemo) will also receive a drop-rate boost. The banner rerun of Venti, a well-loved Anemo character, will also coincide with Ayato’s event wish. The odds of pulling the new weapons Haran Geppaku Futsu (sword) and Elegy for the End (bow) during the event wish are also high.
This event wish only includes those available in the first phase of Version 2.6. More is coming in the second phase.
How to Get Genshin Impact 2.6?
Genshin Impact has introduced a new pre-installation feature that will speed up the download and installation of new resources on mobile and PC. To begin pre-installing update resources, players may go to Paimon Menu > Settings > Other > Pre-Install Resource Package. Once the update is live, players on mobile may go to Genshin Impact’s App Store and Play Store page and select update.
